About me
My personable, open-minded, empathic personality helps me to understand and accept my clients as they are. Treating everyone as unique, I embrace the challenges that client's bring into the room, helping them to make sense of their experiences, thoughts and feelings.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of the healing process and when an honest, open, non-judgemental, caring relationship is formed, great things can happen. This philosophy is at the foundation of my work, as I strive to meet you, where you're at, helping you feel understood, self-aware and no longer alone.
My work integrates the humanistic modalities of Gestalt Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Person-centred theory. This allows me to tailor the work I do to match the requirements of my clients.
Whatever you've been through, I promise to treat you and your story with the kindness, respect and care it deserves.

Why Counselling?
People access counselling for many different reasons. These include:
1) Not having a person to talk things through with (openly and honestly, without judgement)
2) Being scared of the future (anxiety)
3) Regretting, repressing or feeling shameful about the past (depression and trauma)
4) Feeling suicidal
5) Have an addiction that they want to stop
6) Engaging in other forms of coping mechanisms (e.g. self-harm) which they want to end
7) Having suffered from abuse or an otherwise traumatic past which affects them today
8) Suffering from some kind of loss (either death, relationship or other)
9) Having relationship issues (with other people or themselves)
This list is not exhaustive; you may be going through something entirely different. Counselling provides a safe space to help you learn what's going on and then decide if / how you wish to change this.
